Vitor Pereira Desak Pertemuan Wasit Usai Gol Kontroversial Manchester United

Manajer Vitor Pereira mendesak adanya pertemuan bersama demi memperjelas aturan kompetisi setelah gol Matheus Cunha untuk kemenangan Manchester United dinilai kontroversial akibat dugaan pelanggaran handball oleh Bryan Mbeumo pada hari Minggu, 17 Mei 2026.

Gol kedua Cunha tersebut mengunci kemenangan 3-2 untuk Manchester United, meskipun bola terlihat sempat mengenai tangan Mbeumo sebelum rekan setimnya tersebut melepaskan tembakan ke gawang.

Pereira merasa kecewa karena hasil akhir pertandingan ditentukan oleh keputusan wasit yang mengesahkan gol tersebut meski dirinya menilai pelanggaran telah terjadi secara nyata di lapangan.

"It’s a pity that, in the end, the game was decided by a decision that," kata Vitor Pereira, Manajer. "Okay, I must accept because it’s the decision of the referee, but it’s not my opinion. For me, it’s handball. Very clear."

Menurut Pereira, sang pengadil menganggap kontrol bola yang terjadi dilakukan setelah si kulit bulat mengenai badan, namun penilaian tersebut bertolak belakang dengan apa yang ia lihat lewat tayangan ulang.

"But he decided not to cancel the goal and for me it was the decision that decided the game," ujar Vitor Pereira, Manajer.

Kekecewaan Pereira berlanjut karena momentum penguasaan bola oleh lawan yang berujung gol tersebut dinilai tidak akan terjadi jika aturan pelanggaran tangan diterapkan secara tegas oleh wasit.

"I think that he thinks the control in the end was after the touch on the body. I think I must accept but it’s not my opinion. I watched the images and in my opinion, he controlled the ball with the hand and the goal comes from the control," tutur Vitor Pereira, Manajer.

Kondisi ini memicu keraguan mendalam mengenai standar regulasi yang diterapkan di Premier League saat ini, baik terkait pelanggaran tangan maupun pelanggaran fisik saat situasi bola mati.

"If not, they will not have a chance to shoot and score. But in the end this is the doubts we have in this moment in the Premier League about the decisions," ucap Vitor Pereira, Manajer.

Oleh karena itu, Pereira mengusulkan forum bersama antara pengelola liga dan para manajer klub demi menyamakan persepsi terhadap berbagai keputusan krusial di atas lapangan.

"Handball, we don’t know what is handball or not. The blocks in the box for free-kicks, we don’t know if it’s a foul or not. I think it’s important to have a meeting with everybody and try to understand the rules, the decisions, because I think everybody, all the managers in this moment have doubts about some decisions," tegas Vitor Pereira, Manajer.

Masalah penegakan aturan ini dinilai sangat krusial karena kesalahan keputusan bisa berdampak fatal bagi nasib klub yang sedang berjuang mengamankan poin kritis di liga.

"If the game today was decided in this way and we still needed the points to be safe, there’s a big problem," cetus Vitor Pereira, Manajer.
