Shamrock Rovers Incar Kemenangan Kontra Derry City di Tallaght

Shamrock Rovers bersiap memperlebar keunggulan di puncak klasemen Premier Division Irlandia saat menjamu Derry City di Stadion Tallaght pada Senin, 22 Juni 2026 malam waktu setempat.

Tim asuhan Stephen Bradley saat ini memimpin klasemen dengan keunggulan lima poin dari peringkat kedua, St Patrick's Athletic, setelah berhasil mengamankan kemenangan 2-0 atas Waterford pada laga sebelumnya. Sebaliknya, Derry City yang dilatih Tiernan Lynch datang dengan tren negatif setelah menelan kekalahan 2-1 dari Galway United, yang membuat mereka tertahan di posisi keenam klasemen.

"You look at the game against Waterford on Friday, it’s first v bottom, it’s 1-0 to us for a large part of the game and they have some half chances off set plays. Situasi sulit tersebut memicu evaluasi mendalam di dalam internal tim menyusul kritik yang kian meningkat dari para pendukung.

"It was said in (the dressing room), 'we're not too good to go down'. I think we need to start looking at ourselves and things a bit differently because the way this season has been, it hasn't been good enough. We need to start putting results in." tutur James McClean, Pemain Derry City.

Selain laga di Tallaght, pertandingan lain di Premier Division juga mempertemukan Shelbourne melawan Bohemians di Tolka Park. Kedua tim asal Dublin tersebut sama-sama mengincar poin penuh demi memperbaiki posisi mereka di papan tengah klasemen setelah gagal meraih kemenangan pada laga terakhir.

"Nobody in the group is feeling sorry for themselves - we all want to put it right. That means we need our experienced players to lead and we need our younger players to not let their heads drop either. There can't be any passengers.
