Luis Suarez Pilih Harry Kane daripada Erling Haaland

Mantan penyerang Barcelona Luis Suarez secara terbuka menyatakan preferensinya terhadap Harry Kane dibandingkan Erling Haaland dalam sebuah wawancara bersama media Spanyol Mundo Deportivo pada Sabtu, 27 Juni 2026.

Penilaian ahli dari penyerang legendaris Uruguay tersebut didasarkan pada kemampuan taktis holistik serta kesadaran ruang luar biasa yang dimiliki oleh kapten tim nasional Inggris tersebut.

Berdasarkan data dari FotMob, statistik performa kedua pemain memang sangat luar biasa di mana Kane telah mencetak 146 gol dalam tiga musim terakhir, sementara Haaland mengoleksi 110 gol di seluruh kompetisi.

"I have two or three. Haaland is a lethal number nine in the box, although his team has to play for him. I prefer Harry Kane.

He links up much better with the rest of his team. He makes movements thinking about his teammate’s counter-movement, he understands the game differently. I love those kinds of details," ujar Luis Suarez, mantan penyerang Barcelona.

Selain membahas persaingan lini depan dunia, Suarez juga memberikan perhatian khusus pada perkembangan karier kompatriotnya, Darwin Nunez, yang baru saja meninggalkan Liverpool untuk bergabung dengan klub Saudi Pro League, Al-Hilal.

"And then there's Darwin. The first thing he has to do is change his mentality, strengthen it, because for me he has spectacular qualities. He knows the decision he made leaving Liverpool, but I see him as a player who can be fully recovered.
