Manchester United Dekati Youri Tielemans Pasca-Batal Rekrut Ederson

Manajemen Manchester United dilaporkan tengah mempercepat proses negosiasi untuk mendatangkan gelandang Aston Villa, Youri Tielemans, pada Senin (13/7/2026) setelah bursa transfer musim panas pasca-Piala Dunia bergulir dinamis.

Langkah perburuan pemain tim nasional Belgia berusia 29 tahun ini diambil setelah upaya Manchester United untuk merekrut gelandang Atalanta, Ederson, dipastikan batal terlaksana.

Dilansir dari Sky Sports News dan Independent, Manchester United bersiap mengaktifkan klausul pelepasan dalam kontrak Tielemans di Aston Villa yang bernilai sekitar 36 juta hingga 39 juta poundsterling.

Kebutuhan mendesak di sektor tengah ini mencuat setelah hengkangnya Casemiro serta cedera ligamen lutut serius yang dialami Manuel Ugarte saat membela Uruguay di Piala Dunia 2026.

Pakar transfer Sky Sports News, Dharmesh Sheth menjelaskan situasi internal Aston Villa yang berada dalam posisi sulit karena adanya klausul pelepasan tersebut.

"Why would Aston Villa want to sell Tielemans? They don't want to sell. They have got no intention of selling Youri Tielemans. However, they have been hamstrung slightly because part of his contract contains a release clause, which we understand to be around £36m, which Manchester United are prepared to pay." kata Dharmesh Sheth.

Menurutnya, proses perpindahan ini berjalan sangat cepat semenjak tim nasional Belgia tersingkir oleh Spanyol di turnamen Piala Dunia pekan lalu.

"This one is going to accelerate, and it has accelerated since Belgium were knocked out of the World Cup by Spain last week, and since that has happened, Manchester United put the wheels in motion." tambah Dharmesh Sheth.

Klub berjuluk Setan Merah tersebut bahkan diprediksi akan mendatangkan hingga tiga gelandangan baru pada bursa transfer kali ini guna memperkuat kedalaman skuad mereka.

Sheth menilai cedera parah yang menimpa Manuel Ugarte membuat manajemen klub harus bergerak aktif berburu pemain tengah baru di pasar transfer.

"The big priority throughout this transfer window has been midfield at Old Trafford, and from it being they need to sign one midfielder, maybe two midfielders. We could even see Manchester United trying to sign three midfielders in this transfer window. So that has been the priority from minute one of this transfer window.

In fact, even before the transfer window opened, because we knew that Casemiro was going to be leaving Manchester United, and now there's the added complication that Manuel Ugarte has got a serious knee injury that he suffered during the World Cup with Uruguay, and you know what? I think Manchester United might have been prepared to listen to offers for someone like Manuel Ugarte to free up some squad space, some wage space, and some transfer fee money to come into the club to be able to to fund other midfield moves, but it's clear that Ugarte isn't going anywhere at the moment, and it's clear he's not going to be playing for Manchester United, having that serious knee injury. So United are in the market for two, maybe even three, midfielders; Youri Tielemans looks like he could be one of them." pungkas Dharmesh Sheth.

Sebelum membela Aston Villa sejak tahun 2023 dengan status bebas transfer dari Leicester City, Tielemans tercatat telah tampil sebanyak 134 kali dan mencetak 10 gol bagi klub West Midlands tersebut.
