Mohammedan SC Jamu Mumbai City FC dalam Lanjutan ISL di Kolkata

Mohammedan Sporting Club dijadwalkan menjamu Mumbai City FC dalam laga lanjutan Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 di Stadion Kishore Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata, pada Jumat, 15 Mei 2026, pukul 19.30 IST. Pertandingan ini menjadi penentu bagi tuan rumah untuk menjaga peluang bertahan di kasta tertinggi sepak bola India.

Berdasarkan data klasemen yang dilansir dari indiansuperleague.com, Mohammedan SC saat ini berada di dasar klasemen dengan perolehan tiga poin tanpa satu pun kemenangan. Tim berjuluk The Black and White Brigade tersebut tercatat telah kebobolan 26 gol dan hanya mampu mencetak tujuh gol sepanjang musim ini.

Sementara itu, Mumbai City FC menempati peringkat ketujuh dengan koleksi 19 poin dari 11 pertandingan. Tim tamu yang dilatih oleh Petr Kratky berambisi menembus posisi kedua klasemen sekaligus mengakhiri tren negatif setelah gagal meraih kemenangan dalam empat laga terakhir di liga.

Pelatih kepala Mohammedan SC, Mehrajuddin Wadoo, menekankan pentingnya memanfaatkan status sebagai tuan rumah untuk meraih poin penuh dalam dua pertandingan tersisa musim ini.

"Our plan is that we approach every match with the objective to win the game. But sometimes the circumstances are beyond our control. The good thing is that this game we are playing at home and we don't have to travel. We will have hope till the end. Because we still have two games, if we can reach nine points, Chennaiyin FC also have nine points, we have to fight, and this match is very important for us. We have been fighting since the beginning and we promise to fight until the end." kata Wadoo.

Pernyataan optimis juga disampaikan oleh lini pertahanan tim tuan rumah guna memotivasi seluruh skuad dalam menghadapi tekanan di papan bawah klasemen.

"Now everything is fine. I am ready for tomorrow’s match against Mumbai City FC. We will have to give our everything and win our remaining two matches. The team is motivated to perform at their best and win tomorrow." ujar Meitei, Bek Mohammedan SC.

Manajer Mumbai City FC, Petr Kratky, memperingatkan anak asuhnya untuk tetap waspada terhadap potensi ancaman dari tim lawan yang tengah berjuang keluar dari zona degradasi.

"It's very simple. We have two games to go, six points. We have to win. There's no other way. If we want to achieve our targets, then we have to win the next two games. Mentality will be the big thing. We cannot underestimate them because they are at the bottom of the ladder; they can hurt us on counter-attacks and set pieces. We have to make sure our energy, our fight, and our desire to win is there from the first minute to the last." tegas Kratky.

Senada dengan pelatihnya, penyerang Jorge Ortiz memilih untuk mengabaikan posisi di tabel klasemen dan fokus pada performa internal tim untuk mengamankan poin maksimal.

"We don't need to check the standings or anything else. We just need to focus on ourselves and win the next two games and we'll see. The last two games for us were very good and we deserved a better result. Now our target is the next one against Mohammedan; to win, keep the same mentality, and play the same way." ucap Ortiz.

Secara statistik pertemuan, Mumbai City FC memiliki keunggulan dominan dengan menyapu bersih kemenangan dalam empat pertemuan kompetitif sebelumnya melawan Mohammedan SC. Laga ini akan disiarkan langsung melalui jaringan Sony Sports serta platform streaming FanCode untuk wilayah India.
