Keluarga Khosla Sepakat Beli Seattle Seahawks Senilai Rp155 Triliun

Keluarga Khosla resmi menyepakati pembelian waralaba NFL Seattle Seahawks dari Paul G. Allen Estate senilai 9,612 miliar dolar AS atau sekitar Rp155 triliun pada Sabtu, 11 Juli 2026. Akuisisi yang dipimpin oleh pengusaha teknologi Silicon Valley, Vinod Khosla, ini resmi memecahkan rekor penjualan tim termahal dalam sejarah NFL.

Nilai transaksi ini melampaui rekor NFL sebelumnya saat Josh Harris membeli Washington Commanders seharga 6,05 miliar dolar AS pada 2023. Proses akuisisi ini kini tinggal menunggu peninjauan komite keuangan serta persetujuan resmi dari para pemilik klub NFL yang dijadwalkan melangsungkan pertemuan khusus pada 26 Agustus mendatang.

Pihak pembeli menyampaikan rasa hormat mereka atas kepercayaan besar untuk memimpin tim peraih juara Super Bowl tersebut ke era baru.

"We are honored to be entrusted as the next stewards of the Seattle Seahawks," ujar Vinod Khosla, Perwakilan Keluarga Khosla.

"We look forward to building on the winning legacy Paul Allen created and to earning the trust of the Seahawks organization and fans everywhere," kata Vinod Khosla, Perwakilan Keluarga Khosla.

Sebagai bagian dari kesepakatan, undang-undang liga mewajibkan keluarga Khosla untuk melepaskan 3,1 persen saham minoritas mereka di San Francisco 49ers agar Neeru Khosla bisa menjabat sebagai pemilik pengendali Seahawks. Penjualan tim ini merupakan pemenuhan amanat mendiang Paul G. Allen, salah satu pendiri Microsoft yang membeli Seahawks seharga 194 juta dolar AS pada 1997, agar seluruh asetnya dijual setelah ia wafat untuk disumbangkan ke yayasan amal.

Di sisi lain, pengamat olahraga Wynston Wilcox menilai kepemimpinan baru ini langsung dihadapkan pada agenda krusial, termasuk mengamankan perpanjangan kontrak jangka panjang bagi bek bintang Devon Witherspoon.

"I know this doesn't necessarily mean anything for them this season, but they do need to make Devon Witherspoon a priority," tulis Wynston Wilcox, Jurnalis FanSided.

Langkah mempertahankan Witherspoon dinilai sangat vital mengingat performa luar biasanya di lini pertahanan sepanjang musim lalu. Mantan pemain NFL Dave Wyman bahkan menegaskan bahwa tim rekrutmen tidak boleh ragu untuk menjadikan pemain berusia 25 tahun itu sebagai cornerback dengan bayaran tertinggi di liga.

"If you watch him play, I remember two years ago, he danced his way around a block," kata Dave Wyman, Analis Seattle Sports.

"The receiver could not block him because he is always a moving target," kata Dave Wyman, Analis Seattle Sports.
