Jadwal Liga Champions Hambat Kontrak Presenter Soccer Aid 2026

Proses negosiasi kontrak pembawa acara Soccer Aid 2026 antara Dermot O'Leary serta Alex Scott dengan manajemen stasiun televisi ITV kini menghadapi hambatan besar akibat bentrok jadwal dengan final Liga Champions di Budapest, Hongaria.

Dilansir dari BBC Radio 5 Live, manajemen ITV mengkhawatirkan potensi keterlambatan penerbangan dari Budapest menuju London yang dapat mengganggu siaran langsung program amal tersebut di Stadion London pada Minggu, 31 Mei 2026.

"We are in negotiations at the moment. It’s not looking good. Ticket is ok. The problem is my contractual obligation to Soccer Aid. The Champions League final is the day before – it’s a huge problem for me." ujar Dermot O'Leary, Presenter Soccer Aid.

Kendala ini dipicu oleh kewajiban kedua presenter untuk menghadiri sesi latihan visual di Inggris yang dijadwalkan pada Sabtu, 30 Mei 2026, tepat di hari pertandingan final antara Arsenal dan Paris Saint-Germain.

"I don’t." kata Dermot O'Leary, Presenter Soccer Aid.

O'Leary yang juga bertindak sebagai produser Soccer Aid menilai bahwa gladi bersih tersebut sebenarnya lebih diperlukan oleh kru teknis siaran ketimbang dirinya.

"Also I’m doing it with Alex Scott, one of the Arsenal greats." tutur Dermot O'Leary, Presenter Soccer Aid.

Meskipun demikian, ia merasa pesimistis pihak televisi akan melonggarkan aturan jadwal karena risiko transportasi udara yang dinilai terlalu tinggi.

"No. Right now, we’re in a perilous state of negotiation, put it that way, which I don’t think we’re going to win." sebut Dermot O'Leary, Presenter Soccer Aid.

Kekhawatiran produser ITV berpusat pada kepastian kehadiran mereka di lokasi utama sesuai dengan jadwal produksi yang ketat.

"It’s just people getting nervous understandably about us not getting on said flights and not making it. And also they want to rehearse on Saturday, bearing in mind I’m a producer of Soccer Aid." ungkap Dermot O'Leary, Presenter Soccer Aid.

Walau bersikeras ingin menyaksikan laga final secara langsung, O'Leary menegaskan tetap berkomitmen penuh terhadap tanggung jawab acara amal tahunan tersebut.

"Despite being keen to miss the rehearsals, O’Leary made sure not to play down the event itself: “It’s quite a responsibility to be there. I do take it quite seriously – it’s for charity." jelas Dermot O'Leary, Presenter Soccer Aid.

Di tempat terpisah, gelandang Arsenal Declan Rice justru menyerukan mobilisasi massa pendukung The Gunners untuk meramaikan Budapest demi memberikan suntikan motivasi bagi timnya.

"Bring it on, bring it on, I’ll be ready. I want every Arsenal fan out there, 200,000 of you, come out. Let’s try and do it because we’re going to need all the support, all the energy and let’s make it special." kata Declan Rice, Pemain Arsenal.

Pertandingan Soccer Aid 2026 sendiri dipastikan bertabur bintang, dengan tim Inggris yang diperkuat Joe Hart, Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Jill Scott, Steph Houghton, Toni Duggan, Paddy McGuinness, Owen Cooper, hingga Angry Ginge. Sementara itu, tim World XI bakal menampilkan Edwin van der Sar, Leonardo Bonucci, Jordi Alba, Chris O'Dowd, Maisie Adam, serta Simon Neil.
